What is Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the support offered to someone who may be struggling with their mental health for the very first time, or someone who may have a recurring (relapse) mental health condition, such as Depression, Anxiety or Schizophrenia.

As a trained Mental Health First Aider you will be able to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health, have the confidence to broach the situation and provide appropriate support until professional help can be obtained, if it is required.

I am a qualified Mental Health First Aid instructor member with over 20 years’ experience working within the mental health sector.

My course accreditation portfolio includes:

  • Adult Mental Health First Aid (Classroom and Online*) Course duration – Two consecutive days or

*Four morning / afternoon sessions)

 

  • Youth Mental Health First Aid (Online*) Course duration – Two consecutive days or *Four morning / afternoon sessions)

 

  • Adult Mental Health Aware (1 day)
